Niko Goršič se je rodil v Ljubljani. Je diplomirani dramski igralec, publicist in režiser (psevdonim Nick Upper). Študiral je tudi umetnostno zgodovino ter se glasbeno izobraževal.
Od leta 1970 do upokojitve v začetku sezone 2007/08 je bil član SMG, drugače pa je sodeloval še še v šestindvajsetih gledaliških institucijah in skupinah: SNG Drami, Študentskem aktualnem gledališču (Plug in zvezde, Obisk stare gospe, Tovariš, to se tebe ne tiče), Akademijskem studiu, MGL, EG Glej (v zadnjem času režija predstave Janočka), Gledališču 312-860, KPGT – Beograd, Split, Subotica (Kričač, Vojaška skrivnost, Carmina burana, Der Nichtraucher …), Novi osećajnosti, Beograd, Coccolemoccu, Zagreb (Shakespeare the Sadist), HNK Split (Opera za tri groše), Narodnem pozorištu Subotica, Gradu teatru Budva (Aleph), HNK Ivan pl. Zajc, Reka (Duhovi), Cankarjevem domu, Koreodrami (Poostreni nadzor), v Umetniškem gledališču, Demaro teatru Dunaj, Mladinskem kulturnem centru Skopje v koprodukciji s Putokazom Zagreb, v Istrskem narodnem gledališču Pulj in Globalnem teatru (Cezar), Kulturnem društvu B-51, Črnogorskem narodnem gledališču Podgorica (režiji Hiša lutk - Tobelija, Odpad, Smejči ...), Galeriji Kapelica, Mini teatru (Schneewitchen), v Teatru Itd. (režija Zajčevih Grmač) in na Mednarodnem festivalu Karantena v Dubrovniku ...
V šestdesetih in sedemdesetih letih 20. stoletja se je ukvarjal z novinarstvom, bil urednik ter likovni in plesni kritik. Zdaj se ukvarja še s fotografijo, z glasbo za gledališče in literaturo.
Kot igralec (v gledališču, filmu, na televiziji, radiu ter estradi je odigral več kot sto vlog) in režiser je sodeloval v številnih pomembnih ter nagrajenih predstavah na približno dvestotih festivalih v Sloveniji in v tujini. |
